Animal Science Pathway
Animal Science Pathway
Our Animal Science Pathway teaches students to nurture love and enhance the well-being of animals while preparing them for a rewarding career in animal systems. As students dive into the science, research, and business aspects of animals and other living organisms, they can explore animal science education, including the various aspects of:
Animal Care and Welfare
-
Students learn how to provide compassionate care and ensure the well-being of animals in various settings, from veterinary offices to farms, ranches, and natural habitats.
Biology and Life Science
-
Students apply the principles of biology and life science to understand the processes of animals and wildlife, whether in controlled laboratory environments or the great outdoors.
Research and Analysis
-
Students engage in scientific research to study the growth and conservation of species, as well as diagnose diseases and injuries in animals. Their findings can contribute to the protection and preservation of wildlife.
The Animal Science Pathway offers students hands-on training with a variety of animals, allowing them to develop interaction skills and deepen their understanding of animal behavior and care. The pathway provides access to advanced laboratories and equipment, enabling students to conduct experiments, analyze data, and make informed decisions in the field of animal science. Students gain industry skills that are highly valued in animal care, wildlife conservation, and veterinary medicine careers, which prepares students for successful careers by giving them valuable experience.
