Agriscience Magnet Program (AMP)

Agricultural Technology Pathway

Agricultural Technology & Mechanical Systems Pathway

Our Agricultural Technology & Mechanical Systems Pathway is where innovation meets agriculture. By addressing complex challenges, students combine engineering technology and science to learn the skills and knowledge needed to tackle agricultural problems such as:

Engineering Technology

  • Students learn how to apply engineering principles to agricultural systems, from designing and maintaining machinery to optimizing power and control systems.

Biological Science

  • Students explore the biological aspects of agriculture, including soil and water conservation, to develop sustainable farming practices.

Equipment Maintenance

  • Students gain hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling farm equipment like tractors, harvesters, dairy equipment, and irrigation systems.

The Agricultural Technology & Mechanical Systems Pathway places a strong emphasis on practical education, with students working with cutting-edge equipment and technologies used in the agricultural engineering field. AMP provides access to advanced laboratories and resources for experimentation, testing, and innovation. Students develop industry skills that are highly sought after in careers related to agricultural machinery, power systems, and engineering technology. The pathway allows students to gain valuable expertise through hands-on experience with the latest advancements in the field.
